Yada

Terms of use

You may use Yada freely for your own reading and study. The Bible texts keep their own licences. Explanations are a study aid, not a ruling on doctrine. Yada comes without warranty.

Effective 11 October 2026

About these terms

These terms are between you and Creotok LTD (“we”, “us”), which makes Yada Bible Reader (“Yada”). By installing or using Yada you agree to them. If you get Yada from the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

Your licence to use Yada

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Yada on Apple devices you own or control, as Apple’s rules allow. You may not:

  • sell, rent or redistribute the app;
  • copy, modify or reverse-engineer it, except where the law allows you to;
  • use it in a way that breaks the law or the licences of the texts it contains.

We own Yada, its design, the Yada name and logo, and the explanations written for it. These terms do not transfer any of that to you.

The Bible texts and study material

Every Bible text in Yada is public domain or openly licensed. Each text remains under its own terms, and those terms, not these, govern how you may use that text. Sources, in the app (Home, then ⋯, then Sources), lists every text with its licence and attribution.

Study notes and profiles come from Tyndale House’s Open Study Notes, and cross-references from OpenBible.info. They too remain under their own licences, which Sources lists.

Explanations

The guides, Understand and the other explanations in Yada are offered to help you study the text. They are assembled from the named sources listed in Sources, without AI, and set out what the text shows and where readers differ. They can still contain mistakes.

They are not authoritative statements of doctrine, and they are not pastoral, legal, medical or other professional advice. Read the text and the evidence and reach your own view.

Beta versions

Builds distributed through Apple’s TestFlight are previews. They may be incomplete, change without notice or stop working, and Apple’s TestFlight terms apply to them.

No warranty

Yada is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or free of errors, or that it will suit a particular purpose.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Yada. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.

Changes and ending

We may update Yada and these terms. If the terms change, we will post the new version here with a new effective date; using Yada after that means you accept them. You can stop using Yada at any time by deleting it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
